the SALMA sequence to the left (although the strata
themselves are) and
that the youngest four SALMAs have been condensed so as
to be legible
at this scale. The First Appearance and Last Appearance
of various
ungulate groups are indicated by FA and LA,
respectively. It is also important to note that the FA
of rodents has been pushed back into Stratum 3 based on
new
fossils from eastern Peru. |
