The paleontological society of Argentina, it sponsors (along with other societies) the annual Congreso Argentino de Paleontología y Bioestratigrafía and Jornadas Argentinas de Paleontología de Vertebrados and publishes the journal Ameghiniana.
American Society of Mammalogists
"A society established for the purpose of promoting interest in the study of mammals."  This society also publishes the quarterly Journal of Mammalogy.
Sigma Xi
"An international research society whose programs and activities promote the health of the scientific enterprise and honor scientific achievement.  In addition to honoring scientific achievement, Sigma Xi also endeavors to encourage support of original work in science and technology and promote an appreciation within society at large for the role research has played in human progress."  The society also publishes the bimonthly magazine American Scientist.
Society for the Study of Mammalian Evolution SSME publishes a relatively young journal, the Journal of Mammlian Evolution, which covers a wide range subjects within the more general discipline of mammalian evolution.

Vertebrate Paleontology

"The object of the Society is to advance the science of vertebrate paleontology and to serve the common interests and facilitate the cooperation of all persons concerned with the history, evolution, comparative anatomy, and taxonomy of vertebrate animals, as well as field occurrence, collection, and study of fossil vertebrates and the stratigraphy of the beds in which they are found. The Society is also concerned with the conservation and preservation of fossil sites."  The society publishes the quarterly Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.
